This unique jigsaw puzzle is an effort by Nepali entrepreneurs who started a business with theme of “cultural awareness”. Foomantra supports these local products which aims to bring cultural education to our next generation in different ways.
This puzzle set contains 4 different artworks in which 3 of them are cultural heritage sites namely Swoyambhunath, Nyatapole of Bhaktapur and Krishna Mandir of Patan Durbar Square and one Lakhe, an iconic demon in Nepali folklore.
- Nyatapol temple is in Bhaktapur. King Bhupendra Malla commissioned to build the pagoda style 5 storey (Nyata “ङाता” = 5 Storeys) temple.
- Krishna Mandir is in Patan. The temple was built in 17th century but was destroyed during 2015 earthquake. It was restored in 2018.
- Swoyambhunath stupa is in Kathmandu. This iconic stupa is on a hill on west side of the city and is visible from any corners of the city. The stupa has buddha eyes on all fours sides.
- Lakhes are iconic demons in Nepali folklore. Demons are prayed as protector of villages and towns who lives in a nearby woods.
Each puzzle contains 30 pieces jigsaw puzzles to make a 8 inch square picture. It is appropriate for kids of age 4 to 10
