Diyo (lamp): Diyo, batti, diya or simply oil lamp is an important part of religious ritual among Hindus and Buddhists. Usually a cotton wick is dipped in ghee (saturated butter) or oil to offer light to deities. These lamps are also used around home to celebrate festival of light, Tihar (Diwali).
